I am beginning a new adventure as this decade comes to a close. I have been a fan of so many different blogs in recent years and I finally decided to take the plunge and join in. I am hoping that this will be a fun way to stay focused on my projects while sharing some snippets of life with others.
As it is the holiday season, I find myself surrounded with seasonal trinkets. Please note this first photo above. Diva 1 (otherwise known as the older daughter) willingly played photographer for me earlier today. I would like to draw your attention to the "cluster" of ornaments on this lovely tree. They did not start out this way. No, we do not have a small child in the house. No, we do not even have any who come to visit. The reason the tree now seems more top heavy is a 60 pound black lab named Madison. She is a year old and according to the experts she is still a puppy. She has spent the last week knocking ornaments off the tree and relocating them around the house. Therefore, in an effort to preserve my treasures, I have had to continue to move them onward and upward. It is getting old. Thank goodness the tree comes down in a few days.
I have 5 days left to enjoy the quiet before returning to the frenzy of 4th graders. Unfortunately, the countdown has begun. I wonder how many more leisurely trips to Starbucks I can squeeze in?
